Style & Approach
How long have you been taking photos?
I Started professionally taking photos in 2019, but have been taking photos since 2016. As a young kid I had a cheap film camera, so if you count that its been along time!
What is your style? How do you tend to shoot?
My style, some would say, is casual. I tend to aim to capture candid photos. I will direct and 'pose' you, but I will shoot while you're moving and talking. I do this to try to capture candid looking photos!
What if we've never had professional photos taken before?
Not a worry! Most people have not believe it or not! Just know that nobody knows what to do with their hands and remember to smile with your eyes as well. Audra and I are sure to help and will direct you through the process! Experience is not required!
How much direction will you provide?
I will be upfront and say direction is not my strong suit, but although, Audra and I are both capable of coaching and suggesting poses and actions so that you will not feel lost within the shoot.
Booking & Changes
How far in advance should we book?
Currently, I am booking for the end of 2022 and for all of 2023. Typically, weddings and events are booked 4-6 months in advance. Whilst, booking portrait, family, couples sessions, booking is usually 2-5 weeks out.
How do we book?
Good question. So, theres a 4 step process for booking:
Step 1: Enquire about availability and to see if we are the right fit for each other.
Step 2: Browse my packages and to see which package is right for you.
Step 3: is to accept your quote and to sign your contract.
Step 4: is to pay a refundable 50% deposit to lock in the date and time.
Do you require a deposit?
Yes, for all sessions I require a 50% retainer. This retainer is refundable up to 2 months before the event!
What if we cancel?
Good question. It has not happened yet. Fingers crossed it doesn't. But, if it does, you will receive a full refund deposit included and I will provide a list of capable and available photographers to replace my absence!
Is it possible to add hours or days on?
Yes! But, it is subject to availability and location. So, that being said it is recommended that you let us know as soon as possible. If wedding is out of Victoria and surrounding area. Accommodation may have to be figured out.
Technical Questions
What if Your Camera Breaks?
This is any photographers worst nightmare! Alas, I may have thought about this before you! So, my anxiety made me purchase a back-up camera. Just in case this may happen! Also, both of my cameras hold two memory cards so if one card fails theres a back-up of files. Just so we don't loose those important moments!
Do you take video?
Technically I can, but I am not confident in my skills with videography. If I was you, and you are looking for video, I would look for a videographer specifically! There is so many great ones around! At the moment photos is my focus!

Can you take photos in the dark?
Yes, we have artificial lighting sources and also we have on-camera-flashes to shed some light on to the situation. So, don't worry if your venue has a low light vibe. Also, we have fast primes that allow us to work in lowlight really well without flashes if thats preferred.
Editing
Do you edit your own photos?
Yes, Audra and I are the sole editors and edit and cull all photos ourselves. We use an assortment of programs such as Lightroom classic and Luminar AI to name a few.
Can you Photoshop that?
YES!!! Audra and I's specialty. It's all about feeling good at the end of the day right? We think so. So, we will work hard to fix anything you have issues with. Just ask :)
How long will it take to receive my photos?
The answer is that it depends on the shoot type and length. For, Mini Sessions, I always am able to return those photos within two weeks, but if we are talking about a larger shoot or a wedding or event. It could take 3-4 weeks. Maybe even longer. Although, there is varying in times, I am always checking my messages and emails and can update you at anytime on the status of the photos. If you send me enough messages I am sure to send over some teasers to tide you over.
How many photos will I receive?
It depends on the package, but with every shoot we have never delivered less than we have promised! So, don't always expect to get more than promised, but definitely expect to not receive less.
How will we receive our photos?
Good question, and the answer is that we use google drive. So, we will upload your photos to the drive and from there we will share the link to the folder. Therefore, you will be able to download full res files.
On The Day
How will you be dressed?
We dress up or down to whatever the dress code is! But, if it is a formal event or a wedding. We will be dressed the part, no jeans or t-shirts!
Do you travel?
Umm, yes we do! We love to travel, so please do not hesitate to book a wedding or event that is on the mainland or beyond!
Are hours consecutive?
Yes they are, so if you book 6 hours and want us to be there starting at 4 we will be departing at 10.
Will you be posing us for photos the whole time?
No!! We want to capture your day the most authentic way possible! We want to almost blend into the crowd unless of course it's time for group photos and whatnot. Our goal is to be the least intrusive as possible!
